Profile:
S.A.C. is one of Canada’s oldest and largest boys’ boarding schools. Founded in 1899, it currently has a total student population of 535, with 265 boarders from 21 countries, and 270 day boys from the Greater Toronto Area.
Situated on a beautiful 110-acre campus in Aurora, Ontario, the College has superb facilities that contribute to the all-round development of its boys. With over half of the faculty living on the campus, the school enjoys a unique family atmosphere. Day boys often stay for dinner and evening programs, while the camaraderie amongst the residential students is legendary, contributing to a strong life-long bond with the College.
Project Brief:
St. Andrew's leadership team correctly identified the web as a key resource to connect with parents, alumni and prospective families. They also recognized that key partners in providing content for their e-communication would be faculty and staff. It was a simple question of how to achieve their communication goals. Answering this question proved to be considerable challenge, until they began working with Eighty20. Under Eighty20’s guidance, S.A.C. was able to articulate its communication direction, and prioritize the school’s communication strategy.
Results:
The new website has been met with a great response from school constituents, and has invigorated the school's e-communications. The graphic design of the website distinguishes the school, and presents a vibrant strategic brand in keeping with the school’s vision and mission.
The ease of publishing information on the web, managing and sending e-communication newsletters, tracking statistics, and updating events and directories has also improved the online experience of the school's target audiences. Administrators and staff now collaborate comfortably on publishing documents of the web and sending out e-communications.
